Bayern Munich happens to employ one of footballs greatest strikers at the moment, and Harry Kane is having a banger of a season, both for club and country.
The English international has officially put together one of the most ruthless attacking campaigns in modern football history. In the 2025/26 season across all club and international competitions, the forward has reached a sensational milestone of 70 goals. By hitting this mark, he moves past Cristiano Ronaldo’s highest ever record of 69 goals that
he achieved in 2011/12, putting him at second place for most number of goals in a single-season tally. The only person above him is Lionel Messi’s seemingly unbeatable record of 82 goals, also from the 2011/12 season.
Kane’s staggering run saw him find the back of the net 61 times in 51 matches for Bayern Munich, capturing his second European Golden Shoe and leading his team to a domestic title. He then carried that lethal form onto the international stage, adding crucial goals for England during their World Cup campaign to bring his total to 70. While Lionel Messi’s legendary 82-goal season remains safely at the top of the mountain, Kane’s historic achievement firmly establishes his place among the absolute elite individual campaigns ever witnessed.
