Alphonso Davies has had a rough summer, managing only 15 minutes at his home World Cup for Canada due to a muscle injury in his thigh. However, it seems that he will be fit for pre-season with Bayern Munich, as he completed an individual session today.
A last-minute scare prevented him from getting a few more minutes in Canada’s Round of 16 tie against Morocco. In the fifteen minutes he did
manage against South Africa, he looked fantastic and elevated the team’s play significantly.
Fans will hope that Davies is able to remain injury-free throughout the upcoming season, as his qualities will certainly be needed if Bayern intend to make a deep run in all competitions. Bayern have also signed Nathaniel Brown in his position, which could prove to be healthy competition for Davies and will function well if needed in his absence.
