Here is a look at how the Las Vegas Raiders’ 2024 draft class fared in a 35-27 Week 3 win at the New Orleans Saints and what to look for Sunday at home against the Kansas City Chiefs:
Brock Bowers:
The No. 13 overall pick in the draft made his season debut and he showed everyone how dominant he is. Bowers had 10 catches for 116 yards and one score in his first game in Klint Kubiak’s offense. Kubiak enjoyed using his new toy as Bowers lined up several different players and was basically more of a wide
receiver than a tight end. This is surely keeping the Chiefs’ defensive coaching staff up at night this week.
Jackson Powers-Johnson:
The second-round pick left the game late in the fourth quarter with a groin injury. He didn’t practice Wednesday, but the team thinks he has a chance to play Sunday.
D.J. Glaze:
The third-round pick started at right tackle. He didn’t allow a pressure.
Tommy Eichenberg:
The fifth-round pick from Ohio State played just three defensive snaps after playing 35 percent of the snaps on defense in Week 2. The Raiders used a lot more base defense than usual because the Chargers run often in that game. Eichenberg’s snaps will depends on on the opponent. He played 81 percent of the special-teams snaps in Week 3.
Dylan Laube:
The sixth-round pick played four snaps on offense and 22 on special teams. He had one kick return for 28 yards, which he lost a fumble. It could have bee a disaster, but Laube’s teammates bailed him out.
