Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen looks destined to leave the club in the January transfer window and could be heading to west London.
The Germany international has lost his place in the starting
XI at Camp Nou to Joan Garcia, while he may not even be back-up when he’s fit again as that position is currently held by Wojciech Szczęsny.
With the World Cup looming next year, the situation means that Ter Stegen may have no choice but to move on in the winter in order to secure some much-needed playing time ahead of the competition.
Sky Sports are reporting that Chelsea are a possible option for the Barca stopper, with the Blues eager to reinforce their goalkeeping department.
The report states that Chelsea are looking at potentially taking Ter Stegen on loan, although it also notes that the Blues also like the look of Mike Maignan who is heading to towards the end of his AC Milan contract.
