The only reason we’re not calling it an injury crisis is because we continue to make better headlines with our poor decisions on and off the pitch, but make no mistake, Chelsea are in the midst of a fairly significant injury crisis, with nearly a dozen players sidelined (or at least major fitness doubts) for this midweek affair against our Daddy, José Mourinho and his new kids, Benfica.
Among those who are fit, we can still put together a decent enough lineup, though perhaps not one you’d think would
easily compete for the honors we’d like to compete for this season. That’s where coaching, motivation, dedication come into play to make the necessary difference.
Depending on whether Joao Pedro, Moisés Caicedo, and Andrey Santos are passed fit, our options today may look different, but the WAGNH Community chosen to play those who are definitely ready to play.
