Bayern Munich have a number of offices outside of Germany in order to strengthen their relationships with local fan clubs and their various international foreign fan bases. Now, in addition to New York,
Shanghai, and Bangkok, Seoul is joining the list.
The South Korean capital will play host to Bayern’s newest home office. The premises are located in the German-Korean Chamber of Industry and Commerce, which can be found in the historic neighborhood of Jongno. The actual office is right next to Gyeongbokgung Palace, and is about a twenty minute bus ride from Seoul Station.
Bayern’s ties with Korea have been growing over the past few years. With the signing of Kim Min-jae in 2023, the club has amassed a huge fan base to go with the preexisting fans in the country. Bayern then took things to the next level last summer, when they visited Korea for the first ever time in their pre-season tour. The tour was a massive success both on and off the pitch, with the club leaving with the Coupang Play Series title and a massive local following.
At the time of writing, it is unclear as to whether visitors are allowed in the new Seoul office. However, if they are, this writer plans to report on it live from the premises.
