What is the story about?
Oklahoma tight end Kaden Helms has committed to transferring to Minnesota. He recorded five receptions for 35 receiving yards and one touchdown this season with the Sooners.
Helms has one year of eligibility remaining.
The Gophers are losing their top three tight ends this offseason, with Jameson Geers, Drew Biber, and Frank Bierman all out of eligibility. Helms is an experienced tight end who can help bridge the gap to Pierce Walsh,
Sam Peters, Julian Johnson, and Jacob Simpson as they all see significant snaps for the first time.
