
After its 4-0 thrashing of Pacific Saturday, Maryland soccer’s Rocket Ritarita has established himself as one of the breakout stars of college soccer.
The highly touted freshman was the very definition of an impact substitute, scoring once and assisting twice while spending just 28 minutes on the pitch on his way to being named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week.
Ritarita’s
four assists through three games give him the highest assists per game average (1.33) in all of Division I men’s soccer. Now that he is off the mark for the first time as well, Ritarita has put together a serious case to feature more prominently for head coach Sasho Cirovski’s team.
