As we head into the first weekend of June, one thing seems rather clear: Juventus want to add a big Norwegian striker to their ranks ahead of the 2026-27 season getting underway.
OK, so it’s not that one you’re probably thinking of right off the bat. But it is one that is going to be right alongside the most well-known Norwegian striker in the world these days when the World Cup gets underway in a matter of a few days.

16, his representatives are also in talks over a potential move to Juventus this summer. According to multiple reports out of Italy on Saturday — including from IlBianconero chief Romeo Agresti and TuttoJuve’s Mirko Di Natale — Juventus are “advancing” in talks with Sørloth. Those same reports say that Juve have offered Sørloth a multi-year contract (with the length not exactly known) with a salary of €4 million net per season, slightly up from what he currently earns each season at Atlético Madrid.
Along with Randal Kolo Muani — who is returning to Paris Saint-Germain after his season-long loan spell at Tottenham Hotspur — Sørloth is the main name that Juventus are talking to right now when it comes to their ever-changing striker department.
Juventus manager Luciano Spalletti has reportedly given his stamp of approval to the club bringing in Sørloth, who has been at Atlético Madrid the past two seasons. Like the departing Dusan Vlahovic, Sørloth is the kind of big striker profile that Spalletti wanted the club to sign in January but ultimately never saw arrive.
Now one transfer window later, Spalletti may well get his wish.
Sørloth’s contract with Atlético Madrid currently runs through 2028. He is coming off a 2025-26 season in which he scored 20 goals across 54 appearances in all competitions for an Atléti squad that finished fourth in La Liga and advanced to the semifinals of the Champions League before falling to Premier League champions Arsenal.
