The Joey Porter Jr saga with the Pittsburgh Steelers took another odd turn on Thursday.
Per Mike DeFabo of The Athletic, Porter left practice early with the Steelers’ medical staff. No other information was provided.
Porter, of course, did not partake in training camp as he was seeking a contract extension, which did not get done ahead of Week 1. He also didn’t suit up for the Week 1 contest against the Atlanta Falcons, a game that saw the Steelers limit Atlanta to just four receptions from wide receivers
and pick off two passes.
With Pittsburgh heading to New England to face the Patriots in Week 2, Porter’s status will be one to watch as this saga continues to unfold.
