With offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Kyle Flood set to add multiple offensive lineman from the NCAA transfer portal, Texas Longhorns offensive guard Nate Kibble is going into the NCAA transfer portal.
The 6’3, 330-pounder has three seasons of eligibility remaining.
Out of Humble Atascosita, Kibble was a head-to-head win over Texas A&M when he committed to Texas as a member of the 2024 recruiting class. Houston, LSU, Louisiana, Nebraska, Oregon, Memphis, TCU, Texas State, and UTSA were the other programs to offer Kibble, who finished the cycle as a consensus four-star prospect ranked as the No. 458 player nationally and the No. 32 interior offensive lineman, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings.
Behind older, more experienced players on the depth chart, Kibble redshirted and did not see action during the 2024 season before serving as the backup right guard in 2025, playing 38 snaps in three games. But it was notable that with the instability at left guard, Kibble wasn’t among the four players given an opportunity to play there, a chance afforded to freshman Nick Brooks, a natural tackle who allowed 19 pressures and four sacks over 166 snaps in the first three SEC games before senior Cole Hutson returned from injury against Vanderbilt and took over the position.
