With an undermanned wide receiver room entering Week 6, the Steelers are checking in on a familiar face.
Pittsburgh will be hosting veteran wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster for a visit, SI’s Noah Strackbein reported, citing a team source.
With Michael Pittman Jr. on injured reserve and Roman Wilson and Ben Skowronek dealing with injury, the Steelers are down names at the position.
Smith-Schuster hasn’t played yet this season, but logged 33 receptions for 345 yards and a score with the Kansas City Chiefs
in 2025. He’s been back on the NFL transactions sheet with team visits as of late, being brought in by the Vikings and Chargers in October.
Smith-Schuster’s most recent NFL stint was with the New York Giants over the summer. He started his career as a second-round pick by the Steelers in 2017. Smith-Schuster will turn 30 in November.
