We’re more than two weeks beyond the Super Bowl, which I must emphasize was won by the Seattle Seahawks, but not quite to the start of the new league year so it’s a somewhat quiet time in the NFL. This is probably the only real lull until that period after the schedule release and before training camp. Let’s pass the time by talking about the Seahawks on a more personal level.
Where’s the most random place you’ve run into a Seahawks player or coach, and who was it? I wouldn’t have had a story for
you before going to the Super Bowl, in which case I saw, erm, the entire Seahawks team and almost the whole coaching staff in a big press conference room in San Jose. I directly interviewed Ty Okada, Charles Cross, Abe Lucas, Bryce Cabeldue, George Holani, A.J. Barner, Rylie Mills, Rashid Shaheed, Brandon Pili, Drake Thomas, Jay Harbaugh, and Leslie Frazier. Just about everyone was cool to talk to from start to finish based off my recollection. Okada sounds like he’ll have a future career in coaching and/or broadcasting.
Outside of a controlled setting, I’ve never randomly run into a Seahawks player or coach to my knowledge, although Walter Jones did have a celebratory meal about 3 minutes from my home after the NFC Championship Game. Close enough.
