The USMNT started a heavily rotated side on Tuesday night with six new starters compared to their Friday draw with Ecuador. Included in the changes was Christian Pulisic returning to the lineup, though he would unfortunately be limited to just 31’ before going off with an apparent flare up of his ankle injury. The US would once again fall behind in the first half, this time in the 19th minute when Australia’s Jordan Bos would score off a poorly defended throw in, which is kind of like a set piece,
right?
However, the US didn’t wait for the second half to restore balance on the night as two other new faces to the lineup, Cristian Roldan and Haji Wright, would combine to score the equalizer. Also included in the changes to the lineup for the night were Cristian Roldan who picked up a pair of assists and Haji Wright who scored both of the goals.
