In his second season as the Las Vegas Raiders’ general manager, John Spytek could sign some players he was worked with for Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Here are some current Tampa Bay free agents (Spytek could also look at former Tampa Bay players who are on other teams like he did last year):
LaVonte David:
The linebacker is a probably a Buccaneers’ lifer. He’s been there since 2012 and if he continues to play, it will likely be in Tampa Bay. But he would be a great short-term leader for the Raiders’ defense.
Jamal Dean:
He will be a high-ticket free agent. He had a good season in 2025 and cornerbacks get paid in free agency. He has, though, had some up-and-downs and injury issues. So, he could be risky. Yet, Spytek was with the Buccaneers when he was drafted and could have interest in putting in Rob Leonard’s defense.
Mike Evans:
Like David, Evans may be a Tampa Bay lifer. He’s been there since 2014 and he is an all-time great Buccaneer. if he does leave, though, he may want to go to a contender. Yet, Spytek would probably love to have him help get Fernando Mendoza comfortable in the NFL on a short-term contract.
Logan Hall:
Spytek was part of the front office that made the defensive lineman a second-round pick in 2022. Hall is more of a backup type, but it’s a premium position that the Raiders will want to add at.
Deion Jones:
Jones and Spytek were in Tampa Bay together in 2024. The Raiders could have interest on a modest, short-term deal for Jones.
Rachaad White:
Keep an eye on this one. White, a third-round pick in 2022, had a nice season as a rusher in 2025 and he is known for his blocking and his receiving skills. He could be a nice pairing with Ashton Jeanty in Klint Kubiak’s run-priority offense.
Which of these players would you most like to see Spytek sign?
