Football:
Tommy Castellanos has been upgraded to probable and FSU is expected to get Jabril Rawls back as well.
It’s the penultimate home game of the season and FSU will also be honoring Seminole Heritage this weekend:
Congratulations to this week’s Academic All-Stars:
Richie Leonard is a semifinalist for the Danny Wuerffel Trophy; annually awarded to the college football player who is making the most impact off the field within his community:
Mike Norvell does not have the hottest seat in the country right now; that distinctive honor probably belongs to Hugh Freeze but objects in the rear mirror are closer than they appear.
Auburn’s Hugh Freeze and Wisconsin’s Luke Fickell lead all coaches with the dreaded 5.00 ratings — the hottest seats in the country and denoting “win or be fired.” Mike Norvell (Florida State) and Tim Beck (Coastal Carolina) are close behind at 4.83.
All Sports:
FSU finishes the regular season in dominant fashion over Wake Forest; they’ll host the quarterfinals against Louisville on Sunday night:
This Senior class so far has three conference championships and a national championship and they’re not done yet:
We are less than five days away from FSU Basketball:
Alumni:
Seminole great Derrick Brooks has been hired as the University of South Florida’s Athletics Chief Operating Officer.
“Derrick Brooks has been a pillar of Team Tampa Bay for the last 30 years and a leader in the state of Florida his entire life. We have been fortunate to work with Derrick many times over the last two decades, including bringing the Super Bowl to Tampa and hosting that event. We could not be more excited to welcome his passion, energy and expertise at USF Athletics as our new COO.
“He’s the ultimate role model for our student-athletes.”
