According to a report from Sky Germany, Bayern Munich star Harry Kane might not be healthy enough to face Wales on Thursday with the English national team due to an ankle issue:
Kane has ankle problems.
In the 3-0 away win at Eintracht Frankfurt, SGE goalkeeper Kaua Santos was brought down in the closing stages. “I’m fine. It was a blow to the bone. I had that a few weeks ago, and today it was in the same place. Everything will be fine in a few days,” Kane told Sky Sport.
When asked whether he would travel to the national team, he replied: “Yes, I will be there on Monday.” Now England coach Thomas Tuchel could have to do without the 32-year-old.
The Bayern striker will complete his individual training session in the hall on Wednesday together with Leverkusen central defender Jarell Quansah.
While nothing is set in stone, Kane’s status is something for Bayern Munich fans to keep an eye on. Hopefully, this is just a minor issues that can be taken care of with a bit of rest.
The Germany national team is up once again and has two very winnable matches on its slate for the October international break against both Luxembourg and Northern Ireland.
Julian Nagelsmann will not be operating with a full roster thanks to injuries and illnesses, but this should give him a chance to further make his mind up on several players who are on the bubble for the 2026 World Cup.
