Germany have just released their new away kit — dark blue with turquoise and white accents. It’s definitely a new look for the Germans, who have played in green before, but never blue in recent memory, if at all (minus the goalkeepers). Reactions are polarizing – some are calling it great, others not so much.
While the home kits have remained fairly traditional throughout the years, it seems that adidas is trying everything
they can on the German away kits before Nike takes over the national team. Just last time out, they came up with the famous (or infamous) pink and purple away kit that was worn at the Euros two years ago, sometimes referred to as the “Barbie shirt.” While that kit was met with…well, surprise, to say the least, it ultimately proved to be a bestseller. This writer currently owns three of them himself, with one flocked with Manuel Neuer’s name and No. 1.
With both kits being quite new in terms of design and color, it remains to be seen which one is more popular. What do our readers think? Which one do you prefer, pink or navy?
Author’s Note: One should assume that the kit’s popularity will depend on how the national team performs in it. The aforementioned pink kit became even more popular thanks to the good results that followed it in 2024.
