Portland Trail Blazers All-Star forward Deni Avdija has been downgraded to doubtful to play against the Houston Rockets on Friday as he continues to deal with lower back injury management, the organization announced.
Avdija had been listed as questionable to play against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday, although he was ultimately ruled out ahead of the 122-114 Portland win. The 6-foot-8 forward has now missed five consecutive games after he reaggravated his back injury early in the first quarter
against the Phoenix Suns on Feb. 22.
Blazers forward Kris Murray is questionable to play against the Rockets Friday as he continues to deal with an illness that caused him to sit out against Memphis.
Elsewhere on the injury report, Blazers players Yang Hansen, Caleb Love, Jayson Kent, Shaedon Sharpe and Damian Lillard are all listed as out.
