Okay, the New York Jets lost to the previously winless Miami Dolphins. That was a large cup of suck last week, but how the Jets respond will determine whether or not head coach Aaron Glenn has lost the locker room.
So far this season, despite all of the problems, the players haven’t, to this point, given up on the coach. They fight each week and make comebacks in the second halves.
However, ESPN’s Rich Cimini said on the “Jets Collective” podcast that he felt a weird yet familiar vibe in the locker
room after the loss to the Dolphins.
“I felt something in the locker room after the game. Just a weird vibe. You can tell by the players’ body language and how they respond. It’s like something, almost, or I feel like something happened in the postgame. I don’t know what it is; I can’t put my finger on it, but I know that feeling. I’ve felt that in many locker rooms in the past, and I’m going to be looking to see if this team continues to fight because if they get blown out on Sunday, we will know for sure that he has lost the locker room, and then truly it’s over,” Cimini said.
Whether you think Glenn is the long-term coach or not for the Jets, we should root for wins this season. We’ve got 10 games left. If we start the whole tanking conversation, this is going to be a very long end to the season. The Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys can do the losing. Hate watch those teams, but try to love watch your Jets.
