It was a busy bye week for head coach P.J. Fleck and co., as the Minnesota Golden Gophers added seven new commitments to their recruiting class, including three from the junior college ranks. Wide receiver Derrick Salley Jr. was among a trio of official visitors from Hutchinson Community College who grabbed an oar last week.

Scouting Report
Salley has hauled in 33 receptions for 645 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns this season, averaging 19.5 yards per reception. You don’t have to look to far to see the impact could have as part of the Gophers’ receiving corps. His size at 6’4” makes him a big target in the passing game for quarterback Drake Lindsey, and Minnesota’s pass catchers this season have had difficulties making contested catches in traffic.
