Here’s PonceDeLion explaining the pick:
Live from the Vikings War room
Acting GM Rob Brzezinski (Think Disner with Rod Wood tenure): Okay guys, we’re on the clock, nobody’s called to trade up. I’m just here to facilitate the discussion. Let’s hear it! Kevin?
Kevin O’Connell(HC): I like our starters, but we’re thin and aging because our last GM wasn’t a football guy. Who you like Flo?
Brian Flores(DC): We need a monster in the middle, but we can get one later. I could use another LB/Edge that can rush, or that Clemson corner.
Wes Phillips(OC): We badly need young skill players with speed. There’s a couple WR’s I’d like, Addison just did something dumb again. Definitely need a speed RB later.
Frank Smith (Associate HC): Sounds like we gotta stack some quality players. I like the options, let’s be safe here.
Rob Brzezinski: Ok, good talk everyone. We’ll go with the Safety.
