Andy Cruz will look to win his first pro world title tonight in Las Vegas, as he faces Raymond Murtalla for Muratalla’s IBF lightweight title in a Matchroom Boxing main event.
Cruz (6-0, 3 KO) was a highly-decorated
amateur, winning gold for Cuba three times at the World Championships and at the Tokyo Olympics, as well as twice at the Pan American Games. He’s looked the part as a professional, but Muratalla (23-0, 17 KO) won’t just be giving the belt away, either, after being promoted from interim status following his dominant win last May over Zaur Abdullaev.
