Tony Ferguson returned to the boxing ring earlier tonight (Sat., Sept. 26, 2026) to face Mahmoud Sebie for the promotion’s Middleweight title. It was Ferguson’s first attempt at defending the strap after winning it in Aug. 2025, defeating Salt Papi via third-round technical knockout (see it again here).
And once again “El Cucuy” was victorious, stopping Sebie in the second round via technical knockout (TKO) to improve to 3-0 as a boxer, all while retaining his title.
From the jump, Sebie didn’t have
much to offer Ferguson. His punches were weak and not put together well, at all. Ferguson, meanwhile, was the more active fighter of the two, and knocked him down after he — for whatever reason — put his hands down and just let Ferguson got to town on him.
In the second round, the former UFC interim Lightweight title put his foot on the gas and unloaded a barrage of strikes on Sebie. Once he backed up in the corner, Sebie, yet again, became nothing more than a punching bag, and Ferguson just started to wail away freely.
Despite Ferguson’s punches not packing a ton of heat behind them, they were landing consistently. Ferguson worked the body, went upstairs and eventually the referee on duty had seen enough to put an end to the fight just 30 seconds into the second round.

Ferguson has really found a space himself in the influencer boxing scene since leaving UFC in 2024 after losing eight straight fights. As far as what could be next for him, there is no bout confirmed for him at the moment but he will more than likely book another title defense under the Misfits banner, possibly against Austin McBroom, who called him out after the fight.
