“Trailblazer” is disappointed.
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight Kevin Holland suffered a tough unanimous decision loss to Mike Malott last night (Sat., Oct. 18, 2025) at UFC Vancouver, which took place inside Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada (details here).
After winning the opening round on all three judges’ scorecards and looking sharp early in the second, things went sideways for Holland. Malott landed two accidental low blows, with the second one doing serious
damage. Holland took the full five minutes to recover and nearly called it off — but true to form, he fought on. Unfortunately, the momentum had shifted, and Malott took over en route to a clear decision win.
A few minutes after the bout, Holland broke his silence in typical “Trailblazer” fashion, mixing honesty with humor.
“No doubt we suck, never bet on me again, and I need a head massage,” Holland wrote on social media.

Holland (28-15-1) is riding a two-fight losing streak for the fifth time in his UFC career, which continues a familiar pattern of his career — flashes of brilliance followed by frustrating setbacks.
The 32-year-old Texas fighter made it very clear that he wants to fight one more time in 2025 — to break the record of being the only fighter in UFC history to have 5 bouts in a calendar year — and he wants to fight the man with whom he shares that record, Neil Magny.
So, expect Holland to be added to UFC 323 in December.
