Bayern Munich’s manager, Vincent Kompany, spoke to the media and was asked about the goals for the upcoming season — his third year in charge. After a double winning season last year, there is logically only one thing left to achieve, but he was realistic in how they could improve on last season and win another treble.
“It’s difficult to improve from last season, it’s not just about the trophies we’ve won, but also about the number of goals and matches we’ve won. It’s possible, but difficult. Right
now, I’d say our aim is to win the Champions League; there’s no doubt about that. And throughout the season, I’ll be saying that we need to focus on the next match. To achieve that – to win the Bundesliga, the Pokal and the Champions League – we need the whole squad to be fit and healthy. We need to make good use of them and improve the squad. We’ve already done that, but hopefully it will help us achieve our goals,” Kompany said (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
