AEW just wrapped up its third annual PPV tribute to Antonio Inoki, this year taking place in St. Louis. They closed WrestleDream at Chaifetz Arena with Jon Moxley saying “I Quit” to Darby Allin after Sting returned to ensure Mox and his Death Riders couldn’t kill his old partner.

Including the Saturday Tailgate Brawl pre-show, it’s competing with 12 other matches for that honor. We also saw Hangman Page, Kris Statlander, Kyle Fletcher, and Brodido retain
their belts in strong matches with (respectively) Samoa Joe, Timeless Toni Storm, Mark Briscoe, and Kazuchika Okada & Konosuke Takeshita. Meanwhile, Mercedes Moné not only kept her TBS title, but also added Mina Shirakawa’s ROH interim Women’s Television strap to her growing collection. The Hurt Syndicate earned a Trios title shot at the newly heel Opps, Jamie Hayter paid tribute to Inoki with her win over Thekla…
