Puka Nacua has been stating throughout the offseason that he wants to stay with the Los Angeles Rams, and that desire has not appeared to change. During an appearance on the Impaulsive podcast that premiered on Wednesday, Nacua reaffirmed that he wants to stay with the Rams long term.

Nacua’s been one of the best wide receivers in the league with the Rams and he’s also (as is well documented) been having a lot of fun
in Los Angeles. Naturally, Puka wants to stay with the Rams. The other side of things is that Nacua has allegedly made some poor choices in the past. There’s no way around that, though he can learn and grow. He also may be prone to injury, though he’s shown he’s also one of the tougher players in the league. Those factors could be deterrents to the Rams wanting to extend Nacua. That’s the reality.
The Rams and Nacua have a few potential scenarios ahead as L.A. can extend him, they can choose not to extend him, they can franchise tag him, they could trade him if there is a buyer. A lot of options for Nacua, but his preferred option, as he tells it, would be for the Rams to keep him in L.A.

“Asked directly on the “Impaulsive” podcast whether he plans to remain in Los Angeles for the long haul, the Rams’ receiver made his intentions clear.
“That’s the plan,” Nacua said. “I don’t want to leave. It’s so hard.”
The comment comes as Nacua continues to establish himself as one of the most productive young receivers in the NFL. In 2025, Nacua was one of the league’s most productive pass-catchers with an NFL-best 129 receptions for 1,715 yards and 10 touchdowns, pushing his three-year totals to 313 catches, 4,191 yards and 19 scores across 44 games.“
