Dirty Boxing Championship (DBX) is getting a new main event for the upcoming DBX 3 fight card (see it here) on Fri., Aug. 29, 2025 inside The Hangar at Regatta Harbour in Miami, Florida.
That’s the bad news.
The good news, is that former UFC heavyweight power puncher, Jairzinho Rozenstruik (15-6), is still scheduled to throw hands atop the “Sunshine State” lineup. Replacing Rob “The Wolf” Perez in the “Bigi Boy” headliner is PFL and Bellator MMA veteran, Rakim Cleveland.
“The Boogeyman” (23-18-1, 1 NC)
has dropped three straight and four of his last five.
Elsewhere on the card, UFC castaway Bryan Battle, who was summarily expelled after missing weight for the second straight time, returns to action opposite regional journeyman Derik Freitas (8-9); who like Cleveland, can’t seem to buy a win these days.
The Brazilian has coughed up seven of his last eight.
Dirty Boxing, straight from (what’s left of) the mind of Mike Perry, is not quite MMA but not quite boxing, either. The hybrid rules (available here) prioritize action by eliminating grappling or submissions, an incentive for jaded MMA fighters too lazy to work on their ground game.
A boon for “Just Bleed” fight fans, as well.
Also getting busy at DBX 3 is former UFC wild man Hector Lombard, booked for a main card battle against fellow forty-something MMA veteran James Cannon (9-10). “The Loose” is another warm body with a losing record and double-digit losses; but hey, it’s nice to see these guys getting paydays to feed their families.
