For one of the final times this season, the Atlanta Braves have made another roster move. This time, the club claimed right-hander Alek Manoah off waivers from the Toronto Blue Jays before optioning him.
To make space on the roster, the club then transferred Ozzie Albies to the 60-day injured list.
27-year-old Manoah owns a career 3.34 ERA. He was a Cy Young finalist in 2022, but since that season, his time in the majors has decreased significantly.
This probably won’t be the last of the moves this season, as it was reported that Hurston Waldrep will likely be optioned, followed by the promotion of Hayden Harris.
