With World Cup 2026 kicking off on Thursday, we’ve got the chance here at The Liverpool Offside to join in with some of the other sites around the network to cast our votes and predict who we think will win it all this summer and which player we think will end up with the Golden Ball as top scorer.
We’re keeping things simple and sticking to the six national team favourites, which will be a touch embarrassing if someone really unexpected pulls off a run like Greece when they won the 2004 Euros but
at least should help to keep results a little more consistent from site to site.
So, without further ado let’s get to the poll. This is part of an ongoing SB Nation Reacts series that has popped up around the network in recent months, but this is the first time it’s making it to the football (or soccer, depending on where you’re from!) part of the network and if it goes well hopefully we’ll be seeing a few more of these as the World Cup progresses.
