Due to a slew of recent injuries, Bayern Munich will travel to Spain as the betting underdog. Michael Olise’s injury status might be the key to Bayern expecting to win or trying to escape with any points. The tactical battle between Aaron Danks and Diego Simeone will be fascinating to watch.
Bayern is the only undefeated team in Europe this season but Atletico Madrid has won eight of its last nine matches, only dropping points in a 1-1 draw against Stuttgart. Atletico has only allowed one goal in its last five
matches, creating the paradox of Bayern’s unstoppable force versus Atletico’s immovable force.

Prediction
Bayern draws 1-1. Besides Manuel Neuer, all of Bayern’s injuries are on the offensive side of the ball. Atletico will successfully shell up for 60 minutes until a Tom Bischof rocket from the top of the box is blocked by an outstretched arm. Harry Kane will avenge his penalty kick miss from Der Klassiker. Bayern will try to shell up and hold off Atletico, but a loose ball will fall to super sub Jonathan David who will score the easiest goal of his life.
