It weirdly seems like there’s still a contingent out there thinking we should beat Northwestern by 14-17 points despite the fact this is a 5-2 team, 3-1 in conference, on a 4-game win streak. The bookies
believe this as well with the Huskers as -8 1/2 favorites. Of course, these are the same guys who had us -9 1/2 over Minnesota at one point.
The teams’ games have been knotted since the Huskers entered the Big 10 with 10 of their 13 match-ups being of the one-score variety including 6 of 7 in Lincoln. I never recommend batting against your own team for karma reasons, but if one were forced to, I’d definitely give the Wildcats and their points a long look.
(I’m totally trying a reverse hex here – I have been awful picking games this year, last week’s 0-5 or 0-6 in Mike’s predictions column is a case in point. I also had a strong recommendation to take the unders in the Michigan St wind game – Total: 65. On with the Vibes.)
- As always, let’s begin with the availability report. Gunner Gottula is a new entry listed as questionable with a knee issue. Malcom Hartzog is officially redshirting (still has two games and a bowl game available.) And the Big 10 does take these reports seriously as USC was just fined $5000 for inserting a player into a game whom they had listed as OUT. (Let’s still see if they would do it to Ohio State or Michigan)
- Heinrich Haarberg living the good life as the team makes the walk.
- For those who have to spend Saturday in the yard, in the car, or anywhere radio is your only outlet.
- And for those following recruits with family connections, here’s Dayton showing off the wheels.
- If your order of Cam Newton vs. a mascot was a little late getting to your table, that’s on me. Here you go, sirs and ma’ams and you will also get a free dessert.
- I feel like this still photo has to be added:
- Yeah it was just Northwestern, but THIS⬇️ was just called a warning. DBK post-game suggested she might start sending an extra player out since it’s just a warning.
- But we can’t ignore the dude from Trinidad/Tobago who chucked it for 823 in the thriller against Haiti.
- And enjoy this one more time – just because.
GO BIG RED!
