There are two cool moments that stand out from the WWE & AAA production of Worlds Collide in Chicago. First was the entrance from CM Punk as a masked luchador in his hometown. The crowd sang along to, “This Fire Burns.”
Second was Oba Femi clashing with the giant Omos after the main event. CM Punk, Rey Mysterio, & El Grande Americano were victorious over Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh, & Omos. The giants wasn’t done fighting with the babyfaces, and he attacked after the match. That’s when the lights went out, and the Ruler entered on stage. The reaction was electric with anticipation of a showdown.
Omos didn’t quite destroy Omos’ world, but we did see a little bit of fisticuffs. Tension grew as Oba stood face to chest of Omos. The giant shoved Oba. The Ruler ducked a clothesline and shot back with a clothesline of his own to knock Omos out of the ring. Omos landed on his feet, but he felt the sting of embarrassment.
That exchange was short and sweet. Talk about lager than life. Oba’s aura against Omos’ size needs to happen sooner that later.
