Week 1 is over, for better or for worse. Now, it’s on to Week 2 for the Mountain West and the rest of college football.
Looking over at FanDuel’s opening odds can tell us a bit about what the oddsmakers think about this week’s slate of games. Since we cover the entire Mountain West, we have info for every team in addition to your favorite one.
This post is not to tell you who to bet on, but merely serves as a spot to find info from FanDuel and then get our interpretation on the odds and betting lines.
FanDuel Odds & Thoughts
One note, FanDuel doesn’t yet have odds for the games against FCS teams. So check their site later in the week for info on Boise State, New Mexico, Nevada, and Colorado State.
San Jose State/Texas: +36.5 San Jose State, O/U 51.5
- They seem to be expecting Arch and co to take all their frustrations out on the Spartans, who struggled in their opener.
Utah State/Texas A&M: +31.5 Utah State, O/U 54.4
- The honeymoon and good vibes from last week are likely over for Coach Mendenhall and his team. Even if Vegas doesn’t quite get it right, expect an Aggies victory.
Fresno State/Oregon State: +3.5 Fresno State, O/U 47,5
- The jury is still out on who the Bulldogs are, but this one is gearing up to come down to the wire.
UNLV/UCLA: +2,5 UNLV, O/U 54.5.
- The Rebels are underdogs by less than a field goal on the road? This should be a great game.
San Diego State/Washington State: +1.5, O/U 44.5
- Same for this contest, as the Aztecs and Cougars are basically a pick ‘em.
Sam Houston/Hawaii: -6.5 Hawaii, O/U 48.5
- Watch this line, as the health of starting QB Micah Alejado is said to be a game-time decision.
