Summer practice has ended for Mark Pope and the Kentucky Wildcats, but there is still one big question that is surrounding the program: will they fill the 15th roster spot?
For the longest time, it seemed it would be filled by an international player, but with the recent injunctions filed for fifth-year players, that has opened up a whole other plethora of options for the UK staff.
Will it be Mark Mitchell, Keyshawn Hall, or Jaxon Kohler? That is the part it seems the staff is still
figuring out, but Coach Pope made it clear they are aggressively looking to add someone in that spot.
Joining the Field of 68 on Monday, Pope had this to say:
“We’re very aggressively looking at every opportunity, like we always will. If there’s something that arises that can really help us be better, we’re going to take advantage of it.”
It seems that there’s a good chance that UK will have a new player come Big Blue Madness, though it’s far from a done deal, especially with the fall semester about to begin.
