What is the story about?
Duke cleaned up in ACC post-season honors Monday. Jon Scheyer was named ACC Coach of the Year, while Carlos Boozer was named both Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year. He was also First-Team All-ACC and on the All-Rookie Team.
Maliq Brown got both Defensive Player of the Year and also Sixth Man of the Year.
Isaiah Evans placed on Third-Team All-ACC, while Patrick Ngongba got Honorable Mention. Finally, like Brown freshman Dame Sarr was on the All-Defensive Team.
Boozer was a nearly unanimous decision
for Player of the Year. We could see Ebuka Okorie getting 1 vote, but Thijs De Ridder? Seriously? He had a really good year, but not that good.
