We’ve reached the penultimate weekend of the 2025 NFL season, and the Seattle Seahawks have already secured a playoff spot, but they’re not yet locked in as NFC West champions or the No. 1 seed in the conference. Their next opponent is the Carolina Panthers, who’ve got control of the NFC South at 8-7, and if they beat the Seahawks and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose to the Miami Dolphins, they’ll be division champs. Seattle can also win the NFC West with some outside help, but those other games would
be spread out through Monday night.
This was a matchup in consideration to be flexed into one of the Saturday national slots, but it remains in the 10 am PT Sunday slot. CBS will have the broadcast, and this week they’re only showing one game on local network affiliates. Luckily, this is a big game and therefore there is significant national distribution for Seahawks vs. Panthers.
If you’re in the blue areas of this 506 Sports map, you’re in luck!
For obvious reasons, San Francisco and Los Angeles have major interest in this game, likewise Tampa.
And yet, CBS opted to send their No. 2 broadcast crew of Ian Eagle and J.J. Watt to Charlotte, leaving the lead team of Jim Nantz and Tony Romo to cover a potentially meaningless game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns. There’s a non-zero chance they sent Nantz and Romo to Cleveland in case Myles Garrett broke the NFL’s sack record. I ain’t gonna complain about that.
