What is the story about?
Denver’s Ball Arena hosted WWE’s SmackDown on Friday night. Following the live show, WWE taped next week’s Thanksgiving episode, set to air on Black Friday. Below is a rundown of the Nov. 28 edition of SmackDown — complete with spoilers.
The following were compiled from various live reports online:
- Last Time is Now Tournament: Jey Uso def. Rusev following a top-rope splash.
- Backstage segment: SmackDown GM Nick Aldis was approached by The Miz, who lobbied to replace the injured Sheamus in the “Last Time Is Now Tournament.” Aldis drew a random ball, but while he was distracted by R-Truth, Miz swapped the name inside. When Aldis opened the slip, it revealed Miz — who acted surprised.
- In-ring segment: WWE Women’s United States and AAA World Mixed Tag Team Champion Chelsea Green, accompanied by Alba Fyre, came out to celebrate her recent championship success. As she counted down to a fireworks display, WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill interrupted, flooring Fyre with a pump kick. Green tried to escape, but Cargill caught her and dropped the double champ with Jaded.
- Last Time is Now Tournament: LA Knight def. The Miz with a BFT.
- WarGames Advantage Match: Charlotte Flair def. Asuka with Natural Selection.
- Survivor Series Elimination Match: Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Talla Tonga & JC Mateo def. The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin), Sami Zayn, Shinsuke Nakamura & Rey Fenix.
Solo Sikoa emerged as the sole survivor, last eliminating Sami Zayn. As Zayn went for a Helluva Kick, Sikoa stopped him with a superkick. Sikoa went for a Samoan Spike, but Zayn rolled him up for a near
fall. As they got up, Sikoa caught Zayn with the Spike to score the win.
After the match, the Wyatt Sicks returned. As Sikoa confronted them, Bo Dallas — Uncle Howdy — appeared and hit him with Sister Abigail.
