Seattle didn’t blow the Cardinals out right away, but a 7-7 halftime score turned into a more appropriate 31-7 rout in Glendale. Jaxon Smith-Njigba caught all three of Drew Lock’s touchdowns, while the Cardinals barely cleared 150 yards of offense in another defensive masterpiece by Mike Macdonald’s group.

Our Seahawks-Cardinals post-game takeaways
- The Seahawks defense is looking better than last year and still not at full strength. Remember, Ty Okada has been out for both games and Nick Emmanwori didn’t play his usual snap count.
- This Seahawks passing game might be scarier than last year, and Sam Darnold has only played five snaps. Jaxon Smith-Njigba is continuing his Offensive Player of the Year form from last season.
- Drew Lock showed why he is QB2 (in a good way!). Three touchdowns, no turnovers, and a lot of timely third-down conversions and accurate throws.
- Seattle’s run game once Zach Charbonnet is back could be a real force. The Seahawks rushed for over 160 yards and beat the Cardinals defensive line into submission in the fourth quarter.
