Barcelona star Raphinha admitted he was blown away by Lamine Yamal’s brilliant goal against Real Oviedo on Sunday in La Liga.
Yamal scored an excellent acrobatic goal to help send Hansi Flick’s side back
to the top of the table in La Liga and above Real Madrid.
Raphinha and Dani Olmo were also on target, but the Brazilian admitted Yamal’s goal was something special.
“We were blown away by Lamine’s goal. Spectacular. But the important thing was to win and gain confidence for Wednesday’s game against Copenhagen,” he told DAZN
“We knew it was going to be very difficult against an opponent that presses well and wants to play. We weren’t at our best in the first half, but in the second half we were able to score the goals.
“We tried to press high in the second half to win the ball back as quickly as possible, and that’s how the first two goals came about.”
Raphinha also hit back at scrutiny on his own form, adding: “With eight goals in the thirteen games I’ve been able to play, and you think I’m not at the same level as last season? I’m always looking to get back to my best.”
