With the NFL about to kick off the regular season, let’s take a look at every NFL team from 1 to 32 and dive into just how these teams are looking heading into week one of the NFL season.
1. Philadelphia Eagles
Do I think the Philadelphia Eagles are winning the Super Bowl again this year? No, I do not, but when you are coming off a championship and have just as strong a team as you did the year before. The spot is yours.
2. Kansas City Chiefs
Is Patrick Mahomes still on this roster and breathing? If the answer is yes, you don’t have them any
lower than this.
3. Buffalo Bills
Everyone is counting out the Bills this year. You hear about the Eagles, you hear about the Chiefs, you hear about the Ravens. I have a feeling things might just come up Buffalo in February.
4. Baltimore Ravens
This team is awesome. But I will not trust the pairing of John Harbaugh and Lamar Jackson moving forward. They’ll have to actually win it all before I can believe in them in the postseason again.
5. San Francisco 49ers
I think this is the year Brock Purdy really starts silencing the haters. If you gamble, Purdy MVP tickets might not be a bad long shot.
6. Green Bay Packers
Micah Parsons? Are you freaking kidding me?
7. Los Angeles Chargers
Jim Harbaugh really changed the vibe of this team in year one. I think they could really start putting things together this season. I will never count out Justin Herbert.
8. Houston Texans
The Texans have problems, and their division is improved. But once you get out of the top five, every team has warts.
9. Detroit Lions
This is an excellent roster, but I just don’t know if this team can overcome losing 8 coaches off arguably what was the best coaching staff in the league.
10. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Baker Mayfield has had a rebirth here. It’s curious if league circles start pushing him towards a legitimate top ten quarterback in the league.
11. Washington Commanders
I think the Commanders show some regression this year, but Jayden Daniels is legit, and they’ll be in the mix all season long.
12. Pittsburgh Steelers
I think Aaron Rodgers goes out on a much better note than the bitter 2024 season in New York. I think the Steelers have a winning record, make the playoffs, and lose in the first round. Also known as the Mike Tomlin way.
13. Denver Broncos
I know the league is high on this team, but I just don’t see it with Bo Nix. I don’t see a developmental guy who is going to be Sean Payton’s Drew Brees. I see a guy that Payton already squeezed out what he can, and we are already near his ceiling.
14. Chicago Bears
Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams will be a fun pairing, and this team may not make the playoffs, but they’ll be right there at the end of the season.
15. Atlanta Falcons
Some people are higher on the Falcons than I am. They’ll pad their record thanks to 4 games with the Panthers and Saints.
16. Jacksonville Jaguars
I think Liam Coen, Trevor Lawrence, Brian Thomas, and Travis Hunter will make for a really fun offense. But this team has more building to do before it can push into an actual contender.
17. New England Patriots
The Patriots returning to the middle of the pack will be a win in year one with Mike Vrabel.
18. Minnesota Vikings
Any Vikings fans who come across these power rankings are going to say that this ranking is ridiculous. It might be, but this team overachieved last year; they have what I will call a rookie quarterback, and that will bring them back near .500.
19. Las Vegas Raiders
I think Pete Carroll will change the culture here; he will give Ashton Jeanty about 20 carries a game, and this team will be scrappy and be a thorn in other teams’ sides all season long.
20. Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals could average over 30 points per game again this year. Unfortunately, their defense could give up 40 points a game this year.
21. Arizona Cardinals
I like some of the pieces this team is putting together, but I don’t trust Kyler Murray to propel this team into a spot into the playoffs.
22. LA Rams
If Matthew Stafford plays 17 games (or even about 14 games), this is laughably low. But I just have major concerns about Stafford’s back, and I think this might largely be a Jimmy G season in Los Angeles.
23. Seattle Seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks think they improved their offense this past offseason. They did not. They made it worse.
24. Miami Dolphins
I think this team is a disaster, and Mike McDaniel’s culture cannot be fixed, and he could be the first coach fired this season.
25. Dallas Cowboys
There is no reason to take this team seriously as long as Jerry Jones is piloting this Titanic.
26. Carolina Panthers
The Panthers are starting to pull themselves out of the cellar, and if Dave Canales can develop Bryce Young more this season, they could be on a path to mediocrity in 2026.
27. New York Jets
I believe in Aaron Glenn. I do not believe in Justin Fields.
28. New York Giants
I think this defensive line is awesome. I think Malik Nabers is awesome. I’m a meatball for Cam Skattebo. I just don’t see much else to be excited about here.
29. Tennessee Titans
I don’t love the coaching staff, and I think this team should have drafted Abdul Carter, ripped things apart, and looked for a QB in 2026. Maybe Cam Ward will be an elite one day, but I don’t see a true number one overall pick level difference maker.
30. Indianapolis Colts
Daniel Jones is starting at quarterback. Chris Ballard needs to freshen up his resume.
31. Cleveland Browns
I like Kevin Stefanski, and Myles Garrett is awesome. The other 52 guys on the roster could use some work.
32. New Orleans Saints
The fact that the Saints keep trying to compete rather than reset their salary cap and rebuild this roster shows what a disaster they’ve become. Mickey Loomis was once a good GM, but the game has passed him by.
