The New England Patriots headed back to practice without one member of the active roster.
Running back Terrell Jennings remained sidelined from Wednesday’s work on the Buffalo Bills while in the NFL’s concussion
protocol. But three others went in a limited capacity, including defensive captain and sack leader Harold Landry III, who had missed the first session since the bye week due to a knee issue.
Here’s the initial injury report ahead of Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET AFC East rematch at Gillette Stadium.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
Patriots
- RB Terrell Jennings (concussion)
Bills
- TE Dawson Knox (not injury related — personal)
Jennings, the lone absence in Foxborough on Wednesday, exited in the second quarter against the New York Giants as the calendar turned to December. The 2024 undrafted arrival from Florida A&M was downgraded to out for what became a 33-15 win. He played seven snaps on special teams that night, beginning with a 39-yard kickoff return, and was the third backfield option behind Rhamondre Stevenson and NFL Offensive Rookie of the Month TreVeyon Henderson.
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- OT Vederian Lowe (abdomen)
- DT Christian Barmore (not injury related — other)
- LB Harold Landry III (knee)
Bills
- WR Joshua Palmer (ankle)
- OT Spencer Brown (shoulder)
- DE Joey Bosa (wrist, hamstring)
- LB Terrel Bernard (elbow)
Landry, who carried a questionable game status before the bye due to a knee injury, played a season-low 31 defensive snaps on the way to reaching 7.5 sacks. The veteran outside linebacker was back as a limited participant on Wednesday. And across the line of scrimmage, Lowe was also available in that capacity for the Patriots due to an abdomen issue. The swingman made his first start of the season as the calendar turned to December. He did so at left tackle following the placement of No. 4 overall pick Will Campbell on injured reserve.
FULL PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- DT Khyiris Tonga (chest)
- G Jared Wilson (ankle)
- S Brenden Schooler (ankle)
Bills
- TE Dalton Kincaid (knee)
- S Cole Bishop (calf)
New England ruled out Wilson and Schooler on the final Week 13 injury report due to ankle injuries. The rookie starter at left guard and the All-Pro captain on special teams have since returned to practice in full. So has an offseason award winner at nose tackle. A chest injury saw Tonga, also the team’s short-yardage fullback, head to the inactives 90 minutes prior to the primetime kickoff in Foxborough.
