Patricio Pacifico appears to have made an instant impression with Barcelona Atletic after signing in the winter from Uruguayan club Defensor Sporting.
The transfer does include an option to make the deal permanent and the Catalans have already decided to take that up, according to Mundo Deportivo.
The report highlights how Juliano Belletti’s side have been thrilled with his adaptation to the team and the leadership skills he’s already shown.
Pacifico has also demonstrated his versatility as he’s been
deployed at left-back, right center-back, and left center-back so far. There’s even talk he could play in midfield should the need arise.
The defender’s loan is due to automatically become permanent if he plays 45 minutes in 10 games. Yet even if Pacifico doesn’t manage that, it seems Barcelona want him to stay.
Pacifico will surely be hoping that his performances haven’t gone unnoticed by Hansi Flick either and that he could potentially get a first-team chance in the not-too-distant future.
