Barcelona sporting director Deco has played down talk of interest in Manchester United wonderkid JJ Gabriel.
The Catalans have been credited with interest in the 15-year-old who is reportedly keen to find a way out of Manchester United.
However, Deco has now said Barcelona aren’t involved in any discussions about his future and insists nothing is going on.
“There’s nothing to say about this boy. It’s common for certain players to be linked with us,” he said, per Mundo Deportivo
“As for his situation,
I don’t know what happened. It’s a matter we’re not involved in because, first and foremost, we need to understand all the circumstances before trying to do anything or talking about young players.”
Clubs across Europe have been linked with Gabriel after he asked to leave United, although the Red Devils are believed to be unwilling to de-register the youngster who is contracted to the club until the end of the season.
