Following Conor McGregor’s comeback against Max Holloway on Saturday, all eyes shift towards UFC 330 in August when reigning welterweight champion Islam Makhachev defends his title for the first time against Ian Machado Garry in the main event.
Now the official fight poster for the event has been revealed.
After dominating Jack Della Maddalena across five rounds to capture the title in 2025, Makhachev finally makes his return to action to defend his belt after he was already one of the most dominant
champions in history at 155 pounds.
Ranked as the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the sport, Makhachev has run roughshod over his competition across two divisions but he’ll face a new challenge in Garry, who enters the fight off two wins in a row over ex-champion Belal Muhammad and the always exciting Carlos Prates.
In the co-main event, Mackenzie Dern makes the first defense of her UFC strawweight title when she takes on fellow grappler Gillian Robertson.
A perennial contender at 115 pounds, Dern finally achieved her dream by winning the strawweight title with a victory over Virna Jandiroba this past October. While still awaiting word on when ex-champion Zhang Weili might return to the division, Robertson takes the opportunity to get her first crack at UFC gold when she faces Dern.
UFC 330 goes down from the Xfinity Arena in Philadelphia on Aug. 15 with the entire event airing live on Paramount+ in the United States.
