Michael Chiesa vs. Niko Price squared off earlier tonight (Sat., Mar. 28, 2026) at UFC Seattle LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. Both men were clear ahead of time that this would be their final bout inside the Octagon, but only one fighter could retire on a high note.
That man was Washington’s own Michael Chiesa.
Price was shockingly willing to wrestle in the early going, and he actually landed the first takedown of the fight. It immediately backfired, however,
as Chiesa was able to wrestle his way into top position in seconds. A moment later, Chiesa jumped the back and landed in his best possible position. Price tried to front flip his way to safety and did manage to slam Chiesa on his face, but he failed to escape the grasp of “The Maverick.”
Seconds later, Chiesa secured the rear naked choke finish inside a minute.

This was a real storybook moment for Chiesa, who retires on a win in front of his hometown crowd. The former Ultimate Fighter champion can walk out with his head held high, as he outperformed expectations over the years. The 38-year-old submission ace leaves the UFC with a 15-7 promotional record and scored Top 10 rankings in two different divisions. Some of his best wins include victories over Rafael dos Anjos, Beneil Dariush, and Carlos Condit.
I have to give a quicker shoutout to “The Hybrid” Niko Price as well. He never achieved the same heights as Chiesa, but Price was an all-action fighter from his first moment to his last second inside the Octagon.
