The Cincinnati Bengals put the NFL world on notice this past weekend with an eye-opening 35-13 win over the Baltimore Ravens.
The Bengals were horrendous, and I truly mean horrendous, in the 1st half but put together the best 2nd half in recent memory in all three phases.
The reason Cincinnati was able to turn things around was that the stars stepped up on both sides of the football.
Joe Burrow, Ja’Marr Chase, and Tee Higgins were quite literally flawless offensively for the Bengals, scoring five touchdowns
in all five possessions.
Burrow finished the day with 292 passing yards and four touchdowns while Higgins racked up 148 yards and a touchdown on six catches.
Chase reeled in five catches for 62 yards and a touchdown but also demanded an astronomical amount of attention from the Ravens’ defense.
An interesting fact after this game is that the Bengals are now 13-4 in their last 17 games when Burrow, Chase, and Higgins are on the field together.
Burrow and Higgins have had their fair share of injuries, and the trio has not been on the field together as much as everyone may think.
But when they are, the Bengals have been borderline unstoppable.
