On Wednesday, the Minnesota Vikings announced another group of practice squad signings. A couple of them came as part of the group that we brought you yesterday, but we’ll give you the full group that they announced today right here.
First off, the Vikings brought punter Johnny Hekker back to the practice squad. He’ll serve as insurance once again in the event that Brett Thorson has any further injury issues.
Running back Devin Neal, who we brought you news of yesterday, was also announced as a practice
squad signing today by the team.
The three other players who were announced by the team were running back Audric Estime, outside linebacker Keshawn Banks, and offensive lineman Josh Priebe.
Estime is probably the most familiar name of that group. He was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame. He spent his rookie year with the Broncos and was waived following training camp in 2025. After a short stint on the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad, he signed with the New Orleans Saints and stayed with them through the rest of the season. He was with the Saints to start this season as well, but was waived by them with an injury settlement a week ago. For his career, he has 122 carries for 508 yards and three touchdowns, and has also caught 17 passes for an additional 130 yards.
Banks originally signed with the Green Bay Packers as an undrafted free agent out of San Diego State in 2023. He spent the season on their practice squad before being elevated to the main roster for their wild card playoff game that year. In 2024, he made a brief stop with the Michigan Panthers of the UFL but was then let go so he could sign with the New England Patriots. He appeared in three games for them, got released, signed with the Arizona Cardinals practice squad for the remainder of the season, and then went back to the Panthers in 2025. In 2026, he was selected by the Orlando Storm in the 2026 UFL Draft, then went through training camp with the Atlanta Falcons, and now finds himself in Minnesota. That’s quite the resume.
Priebe spent the entire 2025 season on the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad. He was elevated to the main roster once but did not appear in the game he was elevated for. He was waived by the Dolphins on the last day of August.
