Now that all (at least most) of the roster dust has settled, it’s time to get into the regular flow of the NFL season. The Titans are practicing this week, but we won’t get an official injury report until next Wednesday. That is when it will really start to feel like the season is here.
- The Titans named seven captains for the 2025 season on Wednesday:
- Of course, the most notable name there is Cam Ward. A lot was made of a rookie quarterback being named captain. I’m not sure why it was a surprise. Everything we have heard about Ward is that he has acted like a captain since the minute he was drafted.
- The Titans were back on the practice field on Thursday. There will be no official injury report from that practice, but some notable players did not take part:
- Callahan didn’t seem concerned about JC Latham being ready for week 1 – said Latham is dealing with general soreness.
- Tony Pollard says the leadership on the Titans is better this year than it was last year:
- T’Vondre Sweat has been out the last couple of weeks because of an injury. He was back on the practice field today. The Titans EDGE group is nothing short of a disaster. If they are going to get pressure on the QB, a lot of it is going to have to come from the interior. The guys there are pretty good. Hopefully, Sweat can take a big step forward as a pass rusher this season.
